Coast Mountain College (CMTN), Terrace campus, invites applications for a non-regular term Student Worker position within the Information Technology department, commencing August 10, 2026 and ending August 28, 2026. Salary will be in accordance with the BCGEU Support Staff salary scale.

Duties:  Reporting to the IT Client Services team, the Student Worker will provide front-line technical support and operational assistance to faculty and staff across the College. The successful candidate will work alongside Client Services Analysts to support end-point devices, identity services, enterprise applications, and classroom technologies, while delivering a high level of client service to the CMTN community.

  • Key components of the role may include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide front-line technical support to faculty and staff for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Assist with the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end-point devices including computers, printers, and peripherals
  • Support identity services and enterprise application access, including account setup and password resets
  • Assist with the configuration and support of classroom technologies, including projectors, displays, and audio-visual equipment
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in a relevant field (Computer Information Systems, Business Technology, or related discipline)
  • Foundational knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and end-point device troubleshooting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in documentation and record keeping
